Occasional help

Becoming an occasional helper gives the best of both worlds - the opportunity to volunteer with friends but in a flexible way that suits you.
See below for current tasks we'd like people to take on, but this is by no means exhaustive. If you would like to get involved in any other way or have a talent or skill that you feel could help the group, please email our Scout Active Support Manager Giles Puleston at giles.puleston@virginmedia.com.

Could you help keep the Scout Centre clean?

Tasks involve cleaning 3 toilets, the kitchen and the floors. This takes around two hours every two weeks, though the job could be shared.

Could you advise our executive committee about building maintenance?
We're looking for someone with knowledge of building work to help us prioritize improvement work. If you have the skills to help carry out some of the tasks, even better!

Grounds maintenance

posted Sep 20, 2015, 2:47 AM by Kidlington Scout Group   [ updated Nov 23, 2015, 4:07 AM ]

We have a volunteer who keeps our grounds looking great, but she would like some help. In the last year around 70 hours went into cutting the grass and tending to the plants.

Could you give an hour or two every couple of weeks to help out?
