Delivering high quality scouting comes with a financial cost. Although all our volunteers are unpaid, we do have lots of other outgoings. Our day to day running costs are generally covered by the subs paid and we try to keep these as low as possible. This income is topped up by Gift Aid which allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 paid in subs. We also run an annual Raffle from which the proceeds go straight to our group sections to boost their operating budgets
All building maintenance and capital expenditure need to be paid for from other fundraising sources. We are constantly looking for creative ways of doing this whilst minimising the additional time and effort we ask our leaders to give such as grant applications, easyfundraising or social events and therefore we are always on the lookout for people to join our team and help… Could that be you? The raffle draw will take place at the Scout Centre on Blenheim Road, OX5 2HR, Kidlington, on Thursday, 7th November 2024 at 8pm.
Tickets are priced at £1 each or £5 for a book. Our event is registered under the Gambling Act 2005 with Cherwell District Council.”
